Artist of the Season on Swedish Radio P2!

I am "Säsongens Artist" on Söndagsmorgon i P2 for Fall 2025! Every Sunday morning you can hear one movement from my recording of J.H. Roman's Assaggi.

Work Scholarship from Konstnärsnämden

I am thrilled to be the recipient of an 80.000 SEK one-year work scholarship from The Swedish Arts Grants Committee (Konstnärsnämden) for 2025. A new solo project is in the works!

J.H. Roman "Assaggi' is released on Rubicon

On April 25th my recording of Roman's Assaggi was released, and I celebrated with two release concerts--one in Garnisons Church in Copenhagen, where the CD was recorded, and one in Malmö at Andy's Corner. I am so touched by all the friends and colleagues who joined me to listen and show support, and deeply grateful for my wonderful colleagues Dohyo Sol, Giulia Cantone, and not least Hanna Loftsdottir who jumped in at the very last minute.

The last two and a half years have been quite a journey. When I set out to make a solo recording, I had no idea what it would entail—not only choosing and learning the music, but all of the practical things: the venue, recording engineer, making budgets, applying (and applying and applying) for funding, taking photos, researching and writing the notes, finding a label…

The list goes on and through the entire process, I never stopped being totally in love with this music. It gave me the opportunity to explore the scope of colors, characters and nuances of the Baroque violin and to hone both my technique and musical decision-making skills. I’m so excited to put it out into the world!

Although this is a solo CD, it would not have been possible without the help and support of my village. A huge and heartfelt THANK YOU to:

My amazing producer Ragnheiður Jónsdóttir pushed me to the very extremes of my own potential (and in such a positive way!) A recording is in fact a collaboration with the producer, and working with her has been an extremely intensive but always inspiring process.

Rubicon Classics, for taking me on and believing in the project.

Dohyo Sol¸ guided me through the application process and was happy to share his invaluable expertise on the recording industry.

My dear friends and colleagues Judith-maria Blomsterberg, Aureliusz Golinski , Lars Henriksson, Jonathan Manson, Fredrik Österling and Dohyo Sol listened extensively and gave me feedback and the support I needed from early on in the process.

Johan Tufvesson for his urtext edition of the Assaggi.

The fantastic Aija Svensson whose photos helped create the aesthetic of the booklet.

My mom Vita Luthmers for the extra support at home during the crazy pre-release weeks.

And my extremely multi-talented husband Johnny Teyssier not only took the cover photo, but was an incredible support in literally every possible aspect of making this CD, from taking the kids on a jaunt so I could practice a little more, to listening to my first and second edits over and over again, encouraging me to be brave, and cheering me on the whole time.

I would also like to thank the foundations whose support made this recording possible: Kulturrådet, Crafoordska Stiftelsen and Helge Ax:son Johnson Stiftelse.

Roman Release Party

I’ll be celebrating the release of my first Solo CD of J.H Roman’s Assaggi for Solo Violin with two release concerts in April. The program will be a mix of unaccompanied Assaggi, and sonatas with continuo by both Roman and Händel with my beloved colleagues Judith-Maria Blomsterberg (cello) and Dohyo Sol (lute) and Giulia Cantone (lute). Both concerts will culminate with a reception and a chance to buy some CDs of course!

April 26th, 2025 at 16.30 at Garnisons Church in Copenhagen (where the CD was recorded)

April 27th at 15.00 at Andy’s Corner Bookstore in Malmö

Welcome!

New recording with Camerata Øresund!

In January I got to record Graupner’s Double Concerto along with Tinne Albrechtsen and Camerata Øresund. The concerto will be alongside Cantatas by Graupner with the fabulous Fieri Consort. The recording process was a joy and I’m looking forward to the release later this year on Ramée.

Music+Mindfulness

A new concept, where a repeating ground bass pattern becomes a mantra and we breathe deeply and ground ourselves in the present with Biber's Passacaglia, Bach's Ciaconna, free improvisation and silence. The project is still in development--contact me if you are interested in hearing more or for booking!
